Op 29 maart 2021 zal al weer het 12e NKI plaatsvinden. Iedereen die goed is in integralen uitrekenen, of het gewoon erg leuk vindt om te doen, is welkom. De wedstrijd bestaat simpelweg uit het uitrekenen van zoveel mogelijk integralen. Wie hier binnen de gegeven twee uur het verst mee komt, zal uitgeroepen worden tot Nederlands Kampioen Integreren.

Being a student though, you have the smallest amount of risk you can possibly take when starting a business, and the most energy and time to learn and take your time in building your business. Have you ever considered the entrepreneurship lifestyle? See immense potential for yourself and your business idea and would like to really start unlocking it for yourself?
In this first talk, we are going to be talking about the Design Thinking process, and how you can use that to build the first steps of your business. We will focus on what your goal should be as an entrepreneur and how you can go about starting to achieve that goal.
SyncVR is the largest VR platform for medical care. The SyncVR Medical platform makes it possible to implement VR throughout the hospital: from hardware, software and workshops to appointments with support services and a hygiene protocol. During this talk Niek will tell you what SyncVR is, what their goal is, what they do / make, what kind of company it is and how they work.
Niek graduated a few years ago and immediately started working for a startup that grew very quickly in a year's time, after which he started at SyncVR. SyncVR is still in the startup phase. He will share his personal experiences of working at a startup. He will also talk about the changes he has experienced when a company grows from start-up to mature company. In doing this, he will also discuss the differences between working at a startup and a mature company.
GitLab is a DevOps platform built from the ground up as a single application for all stages of the DevOps lifecycle enabling Product, Development, QA, Security, and Operations teams to work concurrently on the same project. GitLab continues to experience great success with 100k+ organizations, millions of users, and a 2/3rd share of the self-managed DevOps market. This presentation will share milestones along the journey from a two-person open source project in 2011, incorporation in 2014, participation in Silicon Valley’s Y Combinator in 2015 through to today - the world’s largest all-remote company with 1300+ employees in 68 countries and multiple industry awards. We’ll explore the process of growing and lessons learned along the way through the lens of GitLab’s Values: Collaboration, Results, Efficiency, Iteration, Diversity (Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and Transparency. Insights from our Founder, long-standing team members, as well as new teams will be shared.

FYSICA is the annual physics conference of the Netherlands' Physical Society (NNV). The NNV exists 100 years this year.
FYSICA 2021 takes place on Friday 16 April 2021 in the afternoon. Most parts of the program will be virtually (in Zoom).
We are delighted that Nobel Prize Laureate Reinhard Genzel did accept our invitation to give a lecture. An online edition of the Young Speakers Contest will be part of this event as well. The Physica Prize will be awarded and the laureate will give a lecture too.
Ben je benieuwd hoe het is om als IT trainee bij NS aan de slag te gaan? Door middel van de online game Spoor Vier laten we je op 26 april kennismaken met NS als IT werkgever. Het doel van deze game is om een persbericht op te stellen. Je doet dit door in groepjes op zoek te gaan naar allerlei informatie over NS en het traineeship. Door middel van deze game krijg je snel en op een interactieve manier een goed beeld van NS als (IT) werkgever.
De workshop begint stipt om 13.30 met een inloop vanaf 13.15.
Het idee dat wiskunde niet alleen nuttig hoeft te zijn, maar dat je ook leuke wiskunde kan doen puur en alleen omdat het leuk is, is bijna 4000 jaar oud en bedacht door de Babyloniërs. Om deze oeroude traditie van het doen van recreatieve wiskunde in stand te houden organiseert de Cie Infinity maandelijks de (Re)creatieve Wiskunde Avond, al zal hij deze keer plaatsvinden in de middag. Een middagje samen leuke vraagstukken bekijken, van het soort dat je ook krijgt op wedstrijden zoals de (internationale) Wiskunde Olympiade, de MOAWOA of het IMC. Iedereen is welkom en er zijn vraagstukken van ieder niveau! So join the dork side, we have (online) cookies!
